As a founding member of Graif, Barrett & Matura, PC, Jay’s primary focus is on the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Insurance Coverage groups.  He has over 20 years of experience litigating complex commercial cases, with particular emphasis on the trial and appeal of insurance coverage disputes, including breach of contract, declaratory judgment and bad faith actions.  Jay has been included in the Southwest Super Lawyers® list since 2012, and has been awarded the highest possible Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating, AV®Preeminent.  He has handled to resolution many complex insurance matters in the state and federal courts of Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico.  Jay’s successful handling of those matters has shaped the landscape of insurance coverage law in the State of Arizona.  He is an active member in many national and local organizations, including Claims and Litigation Management Alliance and Defense Research Institute, as well as many other local organizations.
